Undergraduate Program

The aims of the undergraduate program of the department are to enrich the education of the humanities of the students and to provide a sound training for students in research and teaching of history. The Department offers an undergraduate program for four years and students are required to take a minimum of 132 credits for their B.A. degree.

A) Basic Requirements

Students are asked to complete, apart from the 24 credits required by the University, 108 credits of courses designed by the Department. The required credits are divided into four major fields: Historical Sources and Historiography, Taiwanese History, Chinese History, European and American History.

B) Other Requirements

For the remaining 16 credits, students are free to choose from all the other courses offered in the University.
